Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining Proprietary Limited is an independently operated and managed, black empowered manganese ore producer. Tshipi é Ntle means “beautiful steel” in the local Tswana language.

Tshipi is not only the largest single manganese mine and exporter from South Africa but is also one of the five largest manganese ore exporters globally.

Based in the Kalahari Manganese Field (KMF), the largest manganese-bearing geological formation in the world, Tshipi Borwa Mine is a shallow open-cast operation developed on a large and homogenous ore body with a currently confirmed life of mine reserve of approximately 30 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately receiving stores and stock (including diesel) from suppliers.
  • Ensures that all documentation and information is captured, reconciled and managed according to standard operating procedures.

  • · Demonstrates budget and cost awareness and proactively identifies and implements cost saving initiative within the receiving function.

  • · Follows receiving standard operating procedures and processes to mitigate risk of financial loss.

  • Receives and Stores Stock and Diesel
  • · Receives goods and stock according to established receiving procedures.
  • o Checks and manages all relevant financial and delivery documentation including:

  • · Ensures the quality of received goods and supplies by checking for defects and damages.
  • · Analyses and reports on received stock variances.
  • · Ensures that stores and equipment are safely received and stored in line with company processes and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

  • · Independent annual review of consistent use of all functionalities of all IT systems under control of the function.

Requirements

  • Required: Matric.
  • Preferred: Certificate in Purchasing Management (NQF Level 4)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as receiving clerk within a mining environment.
