The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the ICT Department with data management, analysis, and reporting tasks, while also providing service desk support to address user inquiries and technical issues promptly and effectively. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The purpose is to provide practical work experience to students who have completed their degree.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analytics
- · Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preparation for analysis.
- · Assist in generating insights from data analysis to support decision-making processes
- · Contribute to the development of reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively
- · Proactively seek feedback from users to identify pain points and areas for improvement in service delivery
- · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions
Service desk
- · Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
- · Provide technical support to staff, diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues
- · Conduct research on new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the IT infrastructure
- · Provide timely and effective technical support to users
- · Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams and follow up to ensure prompt resolution
Requirements
- · Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles
- · SQL querying
- · Analytical skills
- · Statistical analysis techniques
- · Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- · Technical support principles
- · Communication skills (verbal and written)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- · A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (NQF level 7) degree in either Computer Science, IT or related
- · Excellent academic record: 60% average
