About TWK Agri
Fifty-two members of the Piet Retief Wattle Growers and Timber Association, with a total membership of 114, and owning over 40 000 acres (16 000 ha) of wattle plantations, met with the aim of registering their association as a co-operative in June 1940. The Transvaal Wattle Growers Co-operative Agricultural Company Limited was registered on 21 June 1940.
The primary goal of the co-operative was to promote the marketing of the timber and bark of its members. Although this was a top priority throughout the years, the board of directors soon realised this should not be their only responsibility. Provision should also be made to supply the necessary production materials to its members.

TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Apprentice (Diesel Mechanic) within the Trade Division at Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Participate in the training plan for the apprenticeship
- Perform duties required and make reasonable progress to achieve the competencies in the training plan
- As instructed, undertake and attend any training or assessment related to the training plan
- Keep the training record (logbook) in possession, and produce it to the employer and/or training provider, when requested
- Acknowledge that all workplace instructions and other material that comes into the apprentice’s possession, as a result of the training, remains the property of the employer
- Obey all workplace Health & Safety and code of conduct workplace rules
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 or N2 with the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
- Mechanical Technology
- Engineering Graphics & Design
- Computer literate
- Drivers license
