About Lepelle Northern Water
Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) is a public water utility, wholly owned by the state, established in terms of the Water Services Act No. 108 of 1997. Its mandate is to provide bulk water services to water services authorities and industries within its mandated area, Limpopo Province.
LNW is actively involved in schemes serving more than ±3 million people as well as some major industrial users. LNW plans to progressively increase the number of people it serves in consultation with the WSAs in its service area. It should be appreciated that the demand for water exceeds the available supply and LNW will continue to partner with DWS in implementing Water Conservation and Demand Management as well as groundwater exploration to augment the surface water.
A Policy Directive that was received from Minister of DWS for Water Boards to implement Water Conservation and Demand Management (WDM) has been effected through the partnership with DWS to support municipalities. This is being done in order to ensure that Water Institutions in the country prioritise Water Conservation and Demand Management as a way of reaching more people with less. This fact is also supported in the National Development Plan and the Limpopo Provincial Growth and Development Strategy in that it recognises that “continuous research to improve water use efficiency is of utmost importance”. Water is required for the Provincial Development objectives of poverty reduction to be realised.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Marketing/Media Liaison Officer, the incumbent will be
- responsible for:
- Branding/Marketing strategy in line with LNW’s Strategic Objectives and Corporate Plans
- Develop new policies and procedures in line with the latest trends where applicable
- Revise strategies to ensure alignment to business strategies and objectives Effective awareness campaigns in water related events
- SMART budgeting
- Researched best practices on digital branding and marketing
- Brand lead across all other marketing functions — both in brand strategy, promotion and creative
- Identification and implementation of the corporate social investment initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all LNW’s policies and procedure requirements, code of ethics and confidentiality.
Requirements
MINIMUM SALARY: R649 807.78 per annum on a C-Upper Paterson Broadband (All inclusive)
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: National Diploma or Degree in Business Development or Branding
and marketing coupled with 4 years related experience in the Marketing and Branding of which 2 years
should be at a supervisory level. A valid driver’s license is a pre-requisite. Registration with relevant
professional body and a certificate in graphic design will be advantageous.
